If you get twisted, splint it!

The MPA Splinting Kit is one of our least popular, but arguably the most needed by backcountry adventurers.

This important kit was built by Emergency Medics to mimic what is used in actual emergencies.  It contains what is needed to wrap, protect and splint pretty much any musculoskeletal injury on the body with the exception of the spine, pelvis and head (duh).

Use this Splinting Kit to immobilize and minimize further injury to sprains, strains and fractures on:

• Arms and Wrists
• Legs, Knees and Ankles
• Shoulders

Here’s what you’ll get:

• Aluminum Splints –  Similar to the SAM Splint, these 36″ splints are moldable and mailable to properly fit all sizes of limbs.  They are extra wide and comfort coated to provide superior, rigid support with no sharp edges.
• Cravat Triangular Bandages – These large, 40” x 40” x 56”, non-woven bandages can be folded into a Sling to keep damaged limbs and joints immobilized.
• Elastic Bandages – Wrap this bandage around the splint to secure it to the damaged appendage or joint.
• Vet Wrap – This flexible, self-adhering bandage wrap is perfect for securing dressings and providing additional support without needing tape.
• Rolled Gauze – This versatile bandage can be used to cover larger wounds and areas that need compression.  It can be easily cut to the desired length, making it suitable for different wound sizes and shapes.
