Introduction (HB)

Welcome to the Medical Incident Technician (MIT) Hybrid Course.

This course has been adapted to a hybrid online format due to restrictions related to the current pandemic. This course will cover all of the same material you would receive at an in-person class with the exception the hands-on scenarios and simulations will be compressed into two days.

This course will follow the same topics and order of a normal class and will provide new material in accordance with current research and medical science.

You will be required to progress through each lesson in order and complete any quizzes or assessments at your own pace. You can work with other students, and ask questions from your course leader. Additionally, Lake Effect instructors are on call during the period you are taking this course. Your instructor should already have made contact. If no one has made contact, please contact us at inst@lakeeffecttraining.com as soon as possible so we can ensure you have an instructor throughout this course.

At the conclusion of the online portion of this course, you will be required to attend an in-person session. This session will generally be two days and will be primarily hands-on. You will need to bring all of your line gear and be prepared to get dirty and work hard.

You will receive your issued medical kit at the in-person session. You will be trained on all of the components in this kit.
